While the French and the Native Americans fight to conquer Fort William Henry, the two daughters of a British Army commander—Cora and Alice Munro—do everything in their power to reunite with their father. During their dangerous mission, the girls receive the help of Hawkeye, a white hunter, and his friends Uncas and Chingachgook, the last survivors of the Mohican tribe. A deep friendship, and eventually love, blooms between the two sisters and the young men. However, their lives are threatened by Magua, the chief of the Huron tribe, who will do anything to make Cora his wife.
