From the day his little sister was born, the house smelt of her. It had smelt of Jonah before and only of Jonah. Jonah remembers when his mother was pregnant. Jonah remembers that he loved his little sister a lot. He stroked and kissed his mummy’s tummy and sang to her through the tummy button. One day, his little sister began to kick and Jonah did not like that. A girl that kicked his mother…. what a girl! Jonah remembers the day that they brought his little sister home. He did not want to see her and shut himself in his bedroom. That was when his father gave his an alarm clock with rabbits ears that went tick tock. His father took him to see his little sister who had her eyes wide open. Jonah looked at her eyes and she began to cry. Jonah thought she did not love him, even though that was not the case.
