This book tell the story of a boy who, because of an illness, cannot go to school. Every morning he has to be connected to a dialysis machine and to keep himself entertained he plays and talks with his toys. He does this in such an intense way that between them a strong and lasting friendship arises. Forced to spend many hours in bed in his small bedroom, the boy shows what a great imagination he has, treating his toys as true friends. In this way he gets to know Dice, a very special toy with whom he strikes up a relation of true friendship. Driven on by a mutual curiosity, both wish to learn about what lies inside the other. Thus, after drawing lots, Dice emerges as the winner and spends a week inside the boy¿s body, during which time he takes the opportunity of curing the boy of his illness.
